FEMALE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Students can join one of our national programmes (see list below) and study towards a two year Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Development and Coaching qualification that is attached to our industry career focused pathways in   coaching & teaching or sports science. Both the qualification and course pathways are 100% practical and cover a wide variety of topics across a wide range of sporting careers. The course allows students to focus on developing industry relevant skills, knowledge, and experiences alongside the core qualification to support their progression onto university, USA scholarships, apprenticeships, or employment.

For those that don’t achieve the grades (4 GCSE’s at grade 4 and above) required for the L3 Extended Diploma, many of our locations offer a one year Level 2 Diploma in Sports Coaching. If a Merit grade is achieved, students can then progress onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma programme.

With our national locations being based within live sports facilities, along with links to local schools and clubs provides students with great opportunities to gain invaluable industry and work experiences across a range of disciplines including coaching, analysis, physio, media and more.

Professional development hours are also built into students timetables which enables them to build transferable employability and life skills, contacts and industry experiences that will support them in their future career journeys.

On a national level, Access Sport provides funded international tour opportunities that students can apply for each year. These tours are career focused with the aim of broadening horizons and skills development relevant to the global sport industry. By the end of this academic year over 900 students will have been on a inspiring tours to either Miami, Hawaii, Dubai, Mexico, Barcelona, Zimbabwe, Dolomites, Finland or Greece.

On the pitch The ET7 Academy Female Scholarship Programme is designed for both elite players looking to develop as far as they can up the football pyramid and hopefully into semi-professional or professional ranks and those that wish to continue to play recreationally and use their passion in further education.

Students undertake a structured training programme delivered by UEFA and FA qualified coaches that will support players to develop physically and technically, utilising the latest in performance technology (VEO cameras, Playertek GPS Vests and Sports Coaching Session Planner). This professional technology is also available for students aspiring to be sports scientists, analysts, and coaches, allowing them to get hands on and develop a portfolio of experience that supports their future career aspirations.

Representing their chosen programme (see locations below) under the ET7 Academy badge students will compete in national league and cup competitions. There is also the opportunity for those who excel to progress onto senior first team football through coaches links and club partners.

ET7 Academy elite national player camps will also be held annually where all female students will be invited to attend, meet Ella and gain an insight into the demands, expectations and life as a professional footballer.

We are excited to launch the ET7 Academy partnership with Ella Toone and believe this to be the first national female scholarship education programme endorsed by an International Female Professional Footballer.
