The first year will give learners an introduction to the topic of sports media, alongside a range of topic areas that support different aspects of the industry.
This highly practical qualification will provide students with an overview of the different aspects of sports media, responding to a brief and developing a creative sports media project.
The second year will build on the first year topics, further expanding all areas. This includes specific personal progression across a chosen area within the sports media that supports the learners pathway, personal investigation and a creative industry response project.
Each area of study will include key Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours involved within them, with learners being given the opportunity to practice these throughout the week. Learners will experience a range of practical and classroom based lessons, with all assignments being assessed internally using various methods including written assignments, practical assignments, spoken assignments and project works.
Our main aim is to provide learners with a focus across a range of media skills that employers across a wide range of careers would look for. By studying at Access Sport, you will experience being part of a creative community of correspondence, broadcasting and content creators within your program while also gaining industry work placements within sports teams and clubs.
All of this will be supported by ensuring students remain physically active alongside their studies while developing vital life and employability skills to support their future careers.
