The Education & Professional Development
With fantastic education facilities onsite at the Football Development Centre Norwich, students can study towards a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Development and Coaching, while focusing on a career pathway in coaching & teaching, sports science . The highly practical qualification (no exams) and course pathways focus on developing the skills, knowledge and industry relevant experiences to prepare students for their chosen progression route and future career aspirations.
With established relationships with Norfolk FA, local clubs and schools, students can also gain valuable industry opportunities across a range of coaching, sports science, analysis, officiating and media roles, that will enrichen their CV’s and develop their skillset.
For those who may not achieve their grade 4 in Maths and English GCSE the first time around, weekly lessons are timetabled to support development and preparation towards exam resits.
Weekly professional development hours are built into their timetable (Go Live) which enables them to develop employability and important transferable skills, to help prepare them for future work. Being based at a live sports hub provides students who show the right dedication and commitment with the opportunities to apply for any job opportunities that may arise with the FDC or Norfolk FA both on and off the pitch.
