The Access Sport Telford Male & ET7 Academy Female Football Education programme (ambassador Ella Toone) provides ambitious young people aged 16–19 with a clear pathway into the football and wider sports industry. Combining academic study with elite football development, the programme delivers a unique environment where students can grow both on and off the pitch.
Delivered at the home of Telford Utd within their dedicated learning centre, both male and female football education programmes allow students to gain recognised sport qualifications, develop as a player while experiencing life within a professional football setting. Whether your goal is to progress as a player or pursue a career within sport, our experienced coaching and education staff support every learner to achieve their full potential.
Completion of the course see’s students progress onto university, U.S. scholarships, apprenticeships, and semi professional or professional football.

The Access Sport Telford Male & ET7 Academy Female Football Education programme (ambassador Ella Toone) provides ambitious young people aged 16–19 with a clear pathway into the football and wider sports industry. Students study towards a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Development and Coaching which is designed for students who are interested in working in the sports industry and want to develop their knowledge, skills, and confidence.
During the course, you’ll learn about a wide range of topics, including careers in the sports industry, health and wellbeing, sports coaching and leadership, sports psychology, anatomy and physiology, fitness testing and improving performance and much more!
The course is highly practical and incorporates professional development hours that allows students to develop real industry and employability skills while exploring career pathways such as coaching, teaching, sports science, physio, media, athlete performance and more…
Students also have the opportunity to apply for career focused international sports tours that are designed to broaden horizons, develop skillsets and give them valuable experience within the global sports industry.

Operating within a live football organisation and links with local schools and grassroot football, students have the opportunity to gain work experience opportunities in areas such as community coaching, performance analysis, event delivery, media, officiating and more…
The football development programme for both the Access Sport Telford male and ET7 Female Academy is designed to help every player reach their potential. Whether an elite player looking to progress as high up the football pyramid as possible or simply wanting to continue playing while studying, the programme provides a structured and supportive training environment.
Players train under highly UEFA and FA qualified coaches, following a professional training programme that focuses on technical ability, tactical awareness, fitness, and mental resilience.
Performance technology, including VEO video analysis, Playertek GPS vests and Coaches Voice Session planner allows students interested in coaching, sports science or performance analysis to gain hands-on experience while maximising personal and team performance.
Male Programme
The Access Sport Telford Male Programme competes in a range of competitive league and cup competitions, providing players with a high-level footballing environment.
For elite players who stand out, there are clear progression pathways into the Telford U18 Academy team, which competes in the FA Youth Cup and the Midlands Junior Premier League.
In addition, standout performers may be invited to train with the Telford United first team, offering a valuable opportunity to showcase their talent at a higher level with the aim of earning a professional contract.
The football development programme for both the Access Sport Telford male and ET7 Female Academy is designed to help every player reach their potential.
