Access Sport | Marine Football Academy

Students study towards a two year Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Development and Coaching qualification that is attached to one of our industry career focused pathway in either  coaching & teaching or sports science . Both the qualification and course pathways are 100% practical and cover a wide variety of topics across a wide range of sporting careers.

The course allows students to focus on developing industry relevant skills, knowledge and experiences to support their progression onto university, U.S Scholarships, Apprenticeships or our Level 4 HNC qualification in partnership with the renowned Loughborough College.

Weekly professional development hours are included within the timetable (Go Live) enabling students to develop employability and important skills, contacts and experiences that can be transferable to any future career.

On the pitch The Marine Football Academy Education Programme is designed for both elite players looking to develop as far as they can up the football pyramid and those that wish to continue to play recreationally and use their passion in further education.

Students train everyday with our highly qualified UEFA coaches and FA educators on the fantastic Marine A.F.C stadium 3G pitch, developing as players physically and technically utilising the latest in performance technology including VEO Cameras and Playertek GPS Vests. The opportunity is also available for those seeking a career in coaching, sports science and analysis to get hands on with technology used in the professional game and deliver sessions and analysis to their peers. 

Representing the club across a range of competitive national and college league and cup competitions including the prestigious FA Youth Cup, there is also the chance for those that catch the eye to be rewarded with opportunities to be involved within the senior first team set up.

International tours also take place annually with a range of career focused and player development trips on offer for students to experience.

Renowned for its career focused education programme off the pitch, there is a winners mentality on the pitch with the academy picking up numerous league and cup successes including being crowned winners at the Mediterranean International Cup 2023, that involved competing against professional academies such as Olympique Marseille.
