Based at the fantastic Liverpool FA Sefton Football Centre, the career focused football education programme is delivered by expert tutors in their field and highly qualified UEFA coaches. This provides students the opportunity to apply their passion for football in further education to develop on the pitch to their highest ability as players and holistically off the pitch academically.

Based at the fantastic Liverpool FA Sefton Football Centre, the career focused football education programme is delivered by expert tutors in their field and highly qualified UEFA coaches. Students study towards a two year Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Development and Coaching qualification that is attached to one of our industry career focused pathway in either coaching & teaching or sports science. Both the qualification and course pathways are 100% practical and cover a wide variety of topics across a wide range of sporting careers.
The course allows students to focus on developing industry relevant skills, knowledge and experiences to support their progression onto university, U.S Scholarships, Apprenticeships or our Level 4 HNC qualification in partnership with the renowned Loughborough College.
Weekly professional development hours are included within the timetable enabling students to develop employability and important skills, contacts and experiences that can be transferable to any future career.
Students can also gain valuable work experience opportunities across a range of coaching, sports science, analysis, officiating and media roles that will enrichen their CV’s developing confidence and invaluable communication, leadership and team skills.
To broaden horizons and inspire futures, Access Sport works hard to secure funding to provide students with career focused tours which historically has seen students travel to Dubai, Miami, Barcelona, Finland, Greece and the Dolomites.

Students train everyday with our highly qualified UEFA coaches and FA educators on the fantastic Marine A.F.C stadium 3G pitch, developing as players physically and technically utilising the latest in performance technology including VEO Cameras and Playertek GPS Vests. The opportunity is also available for those seeking a career in coaching, sports science and analysis to get hands on with technology used in the professional game and deliver sessions and analysis to their peers.
Alongside representing the Marine Football Academy across competitive league and cup competitions, there is fantastic pathway opportunity for those that catch the eye to progress into Women’s football with the successful Marine AFC Women’s team.
For elite players we also have connections within the women’s game to recommend students for professional trials and also host elite national female camps with our national ambassador Ella Toone ET7 Academy.
