The Newcastle Fitness College Further Education Programme provides males and females aged 16-18 with a strong interest in the fitness & leisure industry a further education alongside gaining a valuable skill set, industry experiences and recognised qualifications in both gym instructing and personal training. All with a view to progress onto the many future career in the fitness, leisure and sport industry and more.

Delivered by highly qualified tutors, students study towards a two year Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports, Fitness and Personal Training. The course covers a wide variety of topics, developing the skills, knowledge and industry relevant experiences to prepare students for their chosen progression route and future career aspirations.
Weekly professional development hours are also built into students timetables (Go Live Programme), which enables them to develop employability and important skills, contacts and experiences that can be transferable to any future career.
This course has been developed inline with CIMSPA standard of gym instructing and personal training and during the two years students will also study towards dedicated gym instructing and personal trainer qualifications that will make them employment ready within the industry.

The fantastic state-of-the-art gym facility featuring over 60 stations, weight area, spin and fitness studios, provide students with the perfect environment to put their learning to the test, learning practically alongside industry fitness professionals.
The course caters for students own physical development and mental wellbeing with timetabled fitness sessions alongside their education.
The career focused fitness programme also links with numerous local employers to provide work placement opportunities along with working with the Access Sport College Newcastle Football students building them pro-fitness plans, along with strength and conditioning and post match recovery sessions to maximise their performance. Again all supported by specialist coaches and fitness qualified tutors.
National and International funded career focused tours and trips are also options for students during their time with the college.
