Smiths Boxing Academy Liverpool

Academically Students study towards a two year Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Development and Coaching qualification that is attached to one of our industry career focused pathways in either  coaching & teaching or sports science . Both the qualification and course pathways are 100% practical and cover a wide variety of topics across a wide range of sporting careers.

The course allows students to focus on developing industry relevant skills, knowledge and experiences to support their progression onto university, U.S Scholarships, Apprenticeships or our Level 4 HNC qualification in partnership with the Higher Education Academy and the renowned Loughborough College.

Weekly professional development hours are included within the timetable (Go Live) enabling students to develop employability and important skills, contacts and work experiences that will enhance their CV’s transferable to any future career.

The education sessions are delivered alongside our elite football education programme at the Marine Travel Arena (Marine FC) which is 5 miles away from the Rotunda ABC Boxing facility to which travel is provided.

Students will develop as boxers to their highest ability under the guidance of the Smith Brothers Boxing Academy which is led by former Commonwealth and British Champion Ste Smith and supported by his World Championship winning brothers Liam, Callum and British champion brother Paul.

Steeped in history and know as the ‘Home of Champions’, students will train at the famous Rotunda ABC Boxing Facility to develop as boxers to their highest ability and progress onto the amateur or professional ranks.

The Smiths Academy further education boxing programme is designed to support talented boxers within the area and will also work closely alongside a students current boxing club/coach to benefit the student athletic development should that be at regional, national or international level.

For those that the Smiths Brothers Academy feel posses the right skills and attributes, then their is the opportunity to become trained and managed under their vast knowledge and experience and onto international honours at amateur level and into the professional ranks.

With current students winning regional titles and making national finals, the programme has also seen former alumni (Chloe Watson, Liv Hussey and Ryan Dickens) go onto win numerous international World and European amateur titles and move into to the professional ranks.
