PHYSICAL PREPARATION & EMPLOYABILITY Level 2
- Education
Connected with our public sector pathway, it allows students to focus on opportunities within the biggest employment sector within the country while using their passion for sport to prepare physically.
Year 1
The course has been designed to be as practical as possible and includes several opportunities to directly engage with employers such as the armed forces, police, fire service and leisure, sports facilities, and football clubs.
In year 1 you will develop a broad range of skills and behaviours that will give them the best opportunity to be successful when applying for work in public services. In addition, learners will develop transferable and practical skills in communication, professional behaviours in the workplace,
reflective practice and preparing for interviews to secure employment.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Each area of study will include key Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours involved within them, with learners given the opportunity to practice these throughout the week. Learners will experience a range of practical and classroom-based lessons, with all assignments assessed internally using various methods including written assignments, practical assignments, spoken assignments and project works.
COURSE AND PUBLIC SECTOR PATHWAY MAIN AIM
The aim is to prepare students physically, socially, and academically for employment within the country’s largest employment sector. Upon completion, the course is also an avenue for learners who may not get the initial grades to progress onto a Level 3 diploma course which opens opportunities to move onto higher education or overseas sport scholarships.
