Academically Students study towards a two year Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Development and Coaching qualification that is attached to one of our industry career focused pathways in either  coaching & teaching or sports science . Both the qualification and course pathways are 100% practical and cover a wide variety of topics across a wide range of sporting careers.

What makes the Combat Sports College unique is that it is the first of its kind to provide students with recognised national qualifications, along with governing body qualifications from Combat Sports College, ABA and GBW.

Combat Sports College enables students to develop and run their own programmes and initiatives gaining crucial and relative real world experience in a diverse array of settings. From running your own community classes to coaching within your gym environment there will be encouragement and support available to help students secure invaluable work experience alongside their education.

The course allows students to focus on developing industry relevant skills, knowledge and experiences to support their progression onto university and future careers in Sport Development, Sports Science and Physio, or Apprenticeships. 

The MMA industry is full of enrichment opportunities both domestically and internationally. From visits to national sports institutes and fight camps abroad, to guest speakers and seminars, Combat Sports College will look to offer valuable and memorable experiences to both enrich and enhance students’ passion for the fastest growing sport in the world.

Delivered by working MMA professionals, the Combat Sports College develops meaningful partnerships with the Northwest’s leading combat sports and mixed martial arts academies to provide outstanding opportunities for elite athlete development.

While the practical education is delivered at Combat Sports College in Liverpool, students can continue to train within their own academies to develop their skill as athletes along with their aspirations of fighting at the highest levels (regional, national or international).
