Access Sport | Pro Elite Academy

Students study towards a two year Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Development and Coaching qualification that is attached to one of our industry career focused pathways in either  coaching & teaching or sports science . Both the qualification and course pathways are 100% practical and cover a wide variety of topics across a diverse range of sporting careers.

The course allows students to focus on developing industry relevant skills, knowledge and experiences to support their progression onto university, U.S Scholarships, Apprenticeships or our Level 4 HNC qualification in partnership with Higher Education Academy and Loughborough College.

For those that don’t meet the level 3 entry criteria, we also offer a one year Level 2 Diploma in Physical Preparation & Employability  which upon passing provides students the opportunity to progress onto our Level 3 Extended Diploma or future careers within areas such as the public sector.

Professional development hours are also built into students timetables which enables them to gain transferable employability skills and sport industry experiences including work opportunities, that enhances a students and CV and supports them within their future journeys.

On the pitch The Pro Elite Academy Programme Education Programme is designed for both elite players looking to develop as far as they can up the football pyramid and those that wish to continue to play recreationally and use their passion in further education to secure a future in sport off the pitch.

Students train everyday with our highly qualified UEFA coaches at the fantastic Middleton Leisure Centre, Leeds, developing as players physically and technically utilising the latest in performance technology (VEO Cameras, Playertek GPS Vests and Sports Coaching Session Planner). This professional technology is also available for students aspiring to be sports scientists, analysts and coaches to get hands on a develop a portfolio of experience that support their future career aspirations.

Pro Elite are proudly in partnership with Farsley Celtic F.C where upon trial, elite players are invited to become part of the ‘Emerging Talent Squad’ representing Farsley Celtic in the National Football Youth League and inaugural FA Youth Cup. And for those who catch the eye and show the right attributes, there is a pathway into The Farsley Celtic first team, to which numerous students have experienced.

International tours also take place annually with a range of career focused and player development trips on offer for students to experience.
