This two-year course is designed for students with a strong interest in sport or football development while gaining a valuable skill set within coaching, sports science and performance analysis.
Students who complete this course, alongside our coaching or sports science pathway will open opportunities to progress onto university, U.S scholarships, apprenticeships and future careers across a variety of coaching, sport science, or teaching roles within the world of sport.

Foundation Diploma in year one. Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development in year 2.
The one-year Level 3 Diploma in Skills for Business combines practical business and enterprise learning with industry experiences, helping students aged 16 to 19 develop the confidence, knowledge, and skills needed to stand out in the future world of work.
Students will explore how the business side of sport really works, building important skills such as entrepreneurial thinking, leadership, communication, and problem solving. At the same time, they can continue developing as a player or athlete alongside their studies, keeping their passion for sport at the heart of their learning.
The course can be taken as a stand-alone qualification, but it’s especially popular with students who complete our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Development & Coaching and want to add valuable business knowledge and career-ready skills to their sport expertise before moving onto Higher Education, Apprenticeships and employment.

Students will study a variety of core business units to develop the essential skills needed to thrive in professional environments, aligned with National Occupational Standards.
This course will develop a strong understanding of how businesses operate and succeed, learn how to communicate effectively, solve problems, work as part of a team and understand business culture, roles, and responsibilities.
In addition to the six core units of study students will also focus on three specialist enterprise units as a year long project that focuses on what it takes to start, grow, and manage your own business from idea to launch!
The aim is to prepare and develop students ability across a multitude of integral subjects ready for progression onto apprenticeships, higher education or their own business start up.
Linked with our Sport Business pathways, this course will develop your knowledge and understanding of business, help create an attractive CV, and consolidate positive employability skills.
