Building on the success of Access Sport’s existing football and sport education programme based at the FDC Norwich at Norfolk County FA, the new partnership with Wroxham FC will enhance the already successful career focused education programme with further elite player and professional development opportunities.

The programme gives students the opportunity to train and compete in a professional football environment while studying towards a BTEC Sport qualification and gaining valuable industry experience.
Students will benefit from elite-level coaching and player development alongside full-time football training and competitive fixtures. The programme also provides career-focused education pathways and industry experience within football and sport, while creating opportunities for progression into higher education, apprenticeships, overseas scholarships, and the game itself.

Elite Player Development Squad
Players will represent Wroxham FC through a dedicated Elite Player Development Squad, competing at a high level while receiving professional coaching and support throughout the season.
Competitive Football Opportunities
Students will have the chance to compete in prestigious competitions such as the FA Youth Cup and the National Youth Alliance, providing exposure to high-quality opposition and valuable competitive experience.
These experiences are designed to support players’ development both technically and mentally while helping prepare them for the demands of higher-level football.
Academy & First Team Pathways
Standout players may earn opportunities to progress into Wroxham’s academy environments and senior setup, with a clear pathway from the Development Team in the Anglian Combination, into Wroxham Reserves in the Thurlow Nunn League (Step 6), and ultimately into Wroxham FC’s First Team in the Isthmian League (Step 4).
The partnership is focused on identifying and developing talented players with the ambition, commitment, and attitude to succeed.
Career Opportunities Within Sport
In addition to football development, students will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a variety of areas within the sports industry. These opportunities include coaching, performance analysis, media and content creation, matchday operations, hospitality, and sports leadership.
